PackCheck has no accounts and no sign-in. The app generates an anonymous device identifier on first launch. Your trips, packing lists, and templates are stored against that identifier so they sync between your device and our server. We do not collect your name, email, phone number, contacts, or location.
When you scan your bag, the photo(s) you take are sent to our server and passed to Anthropic's Claude API to identify which of your listed items are visible. Photos are processed in memory to produce the result and are not stored on our servers. Anthropic processes them per its privacy policy.
No advertising, no tracking, no analytics SDKs, no sale or sharing of data with third parties (other than the AI processing described above). All traffic is encrypted over HTTPS.
Deleting a trip or template in the app deletes it from our server. Uninstalling the app abandons the anonymous identifier — there is no account to delete. To request removal of all data tied to your device, contact us via the support page with the device ID shown in the app.
